Name of the app: Qwiki – here on itunes
What does it do?
Basically, this app is a one-touch movie making app. I’ve been using it since it first arrived and it’s grown into quite a community. The great thing about it is that you can make a movie the first time you open the app.
Hit “create” and you can choose “auto” or “custom”. I almost always choose auto because it’s quite easy to edit later on. Once auto is selected , the app will go through your photos and sort them into dates. This gives the app the basis to make a film.
Your date-based collection will look something like this…
Once your images are gathered if you hit the play arrow an initial draft of a film will be created. Now comes the fun part. If you’re not feeling too adventurous, the app will choose music for you and you can produce a video right away. Here is the video that Qwiki made from my pics from today.
Okay, so I’m not a famous Hollywood director. You get the point.
The fun doesn’t stop here. You can add filters to the video, change the color or over all feel. If you like you can edit the order, move pictures and videos around. The combinations are only confined by the “slots” that Qwiki allows.
Is it worth downloading?
Absolutely. I have really enjoyed using this app and found that I can customize more than I initially thought. The videos aren’t HD so they’re easy to upload on the run and perfect for facebook, tumblr and other social media sites.
Where do you get it?
Check out the official page for the app.
Here is a video I made of a day’s adventure!
